HENDERSON, NV – December 6, 2024—The Western Association, an independent professional baseball league, is excited to announce its official relaunch. The league’s inaugural season will feature 12 teams and will begin on June 5, 2025, and conclude on September 9, 2025. The full lineup of clubs, representing markets in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, and Utah, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Initially slated for a June 2020 launch, the league faced significant challenges, including pandemic-related disruptions, shifts in market conditions, and the search for new ownership. After years of dedication and perseverance, the Western Association is ready to fulfill its mission of delivering premier professional baseball to communities across the American West.

Peter Young, President of the Western Association, reflected on the journey leading to the league’s relaunch:
